The network that makes cross-border moves possible
A household move rarely stays inside one company's own trucks and warehouses. We coordinate with a set of partners across road transport, customs brokerage, storage and insurance, so that a move from, say, Lyon to Bucharest is handled as one continuous chain rather than several disconnected handoffs.
Who we work with along the route
These categories describe the types of partners involved in a typical move. The exact combination used depends on the countries and volume involved.
Road carriers
For longer routes or destinations outside our regular lanes, we work with vetted road carriers who follow the same loading and handling standards used for our own vehicles.
Customs brokerage
For shipments touching non-EU borders, licensed customs brokers review declarations prepared from the inventory list before goods reach the checkpoint.
Storage facility
The climate-controlled warehouse near Bucharest used for temporary storage is operated to standards covering temperature, humidity and access control.
Insurance underwriters
Transit damage coverage is arranged through insurance partners, based on the value declared against the inventory list for each move.
Consistency across the chain
Before a partner carrier, broker or facility is added to a route, we review their documentation, insurance status and how they record handling of goods. The intent is that a box packed in one country and unpacked in another has been through a consistent process the whole way, even if more than one company physically touched it.
This does not mean every partner performs identically. It means the paperwork trail, from packing list to customs declaration to delivery note, stays connected so that if a question comes up later, it can be traced back to a specific stage.
What partnerships cover, and what they do not
Every partner listed above relates to the physical movement, storage or insurance of household goods. None of our partners handle visa applications, work permits or residency registration. Those processes sit with national immigration authorities and, where applicable, an immigration lawyer or consultant chosen independently by the client.
